As the night crawls in upon us,
there’s only awhile to dusk.
There’s so much more to do,
but the hours
So we try to go to bed,
to sleep ahead,
for tomorrow we await.
The sun rises,
We finish our work,
thinking the day is made.
But then we crave,
for more we say.
So it goes again,
the routine stays.
There is a love I reminisce,
like a seed
I’ve never sown.
Of lips that I am yet to kiss,
not met my own.
Hands that wrap around my wrists,
that feel like home.
I wonder how it is I miss,
I’ve never known.

Love and Misadventure
Because people tend to take people for granted. It is almost inevitable. And I am guilty as well.
Before every movie, without him asking, she gets him coffee because he always drinks coffee in theaters.
After work, everyday, without her asking, he picks her up from her office. Some days at 6pm, some days at 7pm, and some days even later.
Once in awhile, without him asking, she cooks for him. He likes roast chicken and pasta, I shall make that for dinner tonight.
Some days, without her asking, he buys food over to her parents place for them to have. Her father loves pork knuckle, let’s get that tonight.
But no thank you, was ever heard.
Is it because they should be doing it, or because it has been so much of a habit that it doesn’t matter anymore?
I honestly don’t know. But note to self, always remember to be appreciative, and say thank you. It isn’t fair to have someone assume you’re thankful while they do the things they do for you.
So we welcome 2015 with open arms! Don’t forget to be thankful to all the people who have been with you through thick and thin; your family and friends. Some friends you don’t see or talk to often, but still hang around and stick with you when you need them. Always be thankful for the things you have, and show your appreciation because you’ll really never know when they’ll not be there anymore!
So in a flash, 2014 is gone, and we’re in 2015! A brand new start, a blank page in a book, which we ourselves will write. Let’s live this year, and of course the years to come as well, meaningfully, and gracefully! (:
